Your new role


You will be the Commissioning Manager/Electrical Supervisor for the grid infrastructure of the new solar plant and you will manage, supervise and realise the construction of the Electrical System of the related grid interconnection works of the project. You will assure a safe, reliable, and high-quality completion of the electrical installation, including the main electrical installations on site, and you will coordinate the management of the international and local teams from suppliers to sub-contractors.


Your responsibilities will include among others:


To manage, supervise and realise the construction of the Electrical System of the related grid interconnection works and/or HV substation of the solar plants of our international projects.

Quality assurance for the complete electrical installation (main electrical DC/AC, LV/MV/HV components, and communication/SCADA systems) Management of international and local sub-contractors and suppliers Interface with in-house and external project stakeholders

Managing as built documentation of Electrical System

Early-stage and final planning of Testing and Commissioning of the project

Create and maintain, the project’s documentation defining the Testing and Commissioning processes and procedures

Coordinate all the activities from all suppliers’ and subcontractors’ commissioning teams for both Cold and Hot Commissioning period.

To manage and solve issues until 100% plant availability and successful achievement of PAC

Responsible for the project Electrical System handover process to O&M and/or Client

Work closely as a team with the Construction Manager Support the designated Project Manager



What you'll need to succeed


You have electrical engineering background, with an academic degree in electrical engineering, electronics, renewable energy, or related fields of study. You have rich experience in electrical systems installation site management, with a strong focus on MV/HV interconnections works alongside with strong technical knowledge.

You have all the mandatory electrical construction certifications, according to local national regulations and/or associations, and ideally you have IOSH / NEBOSH certificate.

You will be willing to attend the corresponding trainings, and acquire the related certifications, in case they are expired.

You will also need to speak fluently both English and Hungarian.


Background and Experience:


Academic degree in electrical engineering, electronics, renewable energy, or related fields of study

Electrical Certification/Accreditation and/or Professional Registration for Responsible Engineer for Electrical Installation according to National Legislation and Norms.

At least 5 years of work experience in Electrical Systems installation site management, with a strong focus on MV/HV interconnection works (underground and overhead lines), MV and HV switchgears and HV substations.

Strong technical knowledge of electrical codes and other associated standards used in indoor and outdoor electrical installations, with an expertise in Grid related works (expertise in PV projects will be a plus).

Ability to document and report job progress clearly

Strong communication skills

Pro-active team player with high degree of self-management and problem-solving ability

High level of leadership ability and able to oversee a multi‐national workforce in a dynamic situation

Multi-tasking ability (prioritize, organize, schedule work) Experience in cooperation with utilities and authorities

A personal commitment to a safe working environment IOSH / NEBOSH certificate is highly desirable Proficiency in MS Office

Switching authorisation up to 36 kV is an advantage Excellent interpersonal skills, and intercultural competence Excellent communication in English, and Hungarian language

You will be the project planner and you will be responsible for monitoring complex, multi-year projects through identification and completion of critical path and parallel work activities in order to achieve optimum performance. 


KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 


Develops project cost estimates and resource loaded schedules using Primavera 6 / MS Project software 

Calculates earned value management reporting parameters based on input from the operations / production group, provides project reporting of SPI and CPI along with progress curves and staffing projections and maintains ETC and EAC forecast information in reporting tools 

Acts as a key reference contact and subject matter expert within the company for MS Project / Primavera related issues 

Works directly with the Project Managers and project team members to identify and resolve problems in the area of planning and scheduling 

Directly monitors, controls, consolidates and provides feedback to the project plans developed and maintained by each Project Manager across the company 

Assists project management team in preparation of project reporting including but not limited to scheduling updates and analysis, financial reports, progress reporting, change management and various reporting for management 

Reviews and ensures communication of project related information to ensure project objectives will be executed in a timely manner 

Participates in design review meetings, pre-bid meetings, bid clarification meetings, pre- construction meetings, construction status and planning meetings, and project review meetings 

Conducts project progress monitoring including identifying critical activities and reviewing forecasts with progress achieved to date 

Regularly keeps management informed of problems, issues, and status of the project against the base-line programme 

Provides support as required to the Project Manager at customer meetings 

Defines, prepares and maintains policies, procedures, tools and best practices related to planning and EVM monitoring 

Defines and prepares monthly KPIs and reporting in accordance with project requirements

Coordinate electrical subcontractors during design and execution of projects in cooperation with the on-site team.

Coordinate and align with the on-site electrical manager of the subcontractor and resolve any clarifications on the realisation design, and on the specifications of materials and components.

Contact, manage and coordinate external freelancers for electrical related works, testing and activities of the project.

Daily on-site supervision of the electrical works of the project.

Technical guidance of foremen for electrical installations.

Interfacing with suppliers, manufacturers, sub-contractors, utilities where necessary.

Creation and submission of weekly reports with photo evidence.

Review of the Quality Check and quantity control of materials and components delivered on site

Verifying sub-contractors’ built documentation of electrical systems against actual status.

Create and maintain the project’s documentation defining the Testing and Commissioning processes and procedures and update all related Testing and Commissioning documents to project specifications.

Review and approve test results from tests performed by the certified testing subcontractor.

Be the main point of contact and coordinator during the day of Grid Connection-First Energisation of the PV Installation and/or MV/HV SS and you will successfully connect the plant to the grid and be the Electrical responsible engineer for the PV plant.
